The Princess and the Mudlarks - 2W (December 2017)

In Computing we have been exploring digital creativity by making a movie. We started by writing the screenplay. As our Topic was The Victorians we decided we wanted to make a movie about the future Queen Victoria and some mudlarks; in our script they meet, and the rich Princess finds out how poor children lived.

Then we auditioned for the parts, and rehearsed. Our next step was to find out about green screen. Our ICT Manager, Mr Perrin, showed us how green screen works, and we chose the pictures we wanted to use for our movie. We think they look amazing - we filmed the movie in our classroom but you can't tell at all!

We filmed the movie, and Mr Perrin edited it for us, to join the different bits together. Finally we chose the music we wanted for our movie. Mr Perrin even helped us add sound effects - birds in the forest, and clanking cutlery in the kitchen!

We are very proud of our movie, and can't wait to use green screen again!
