Young Minds – World Mental Health Day 10th October 2019

The goal of World Mental Health Day is to increase awareness about mental health and the importance of mental health in overall health of a person. When children look after their mental health and develop their coping skills it can help them to boost their resilience, self-esteem and confidence. It can also help them learn to settle themselves, feel calm, and engage positively with their education - which can, in turn, improve their academic attainment.

This year, the theme of World Mental Health Day was to wear Yellow. The charity Young Minds works with families, schools and health services to improve the lives of children and young people. Our pupils and staff wore yellow and raised over £700 for Young Minds, to fund the important work Young Minds does keeping children and young people healthy and happy.
